Senior Computer Vision Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior Computer Vision Engineer, you will help develop the next generation of algorithms for PET and SPECT imaging. You will be at the forefront of developing new models, based on exciting new technologies such as foundational learning or diffusion probabilistic models, to have a real-world impact on patient care in nuclear medicine.  You will help improve existing models integrated into our products and design new architectures for future clinical applications Your work will be core to expanding our product portfolio and delivering high-impact, clinically relevant AI tools to nuclear medicine physicians.

Responsibilities

  • Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models for medical image enhancement and analysis.
  • Optimize and validate models for real-world clinical imaging data.
  • Collaborate with clinical and product teams to define model requirements and performance metrics.
  • Set-up collaborations with relevant research partners, design and manage study projects.
  • Stay up to date with the latest research in AI, computer vision, and medical imaging

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience in deep learning for computer vision and MLOps - you can train and deploy models efficiently.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch.
  • Deep expertise in image processing and computer vision model development, with demonstrable experience in designing, training, optimizing, and deploying state-of-the-art model architectures in medical imaging (vision transformers, diffusion models, …).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with DICOM and medical image formats.
  • Background in medical imaging or radiology AI applications.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards for medical device software (SaMD).
  • Experience working in a startup or research-intensive environment.
  • Experience with scientific grant writing.

Location: Nuclivision is a startup company headquartered in Ghent, Belgium. We offer remote working options.
